Fall is one of my favorite seasons. If asked about my favorite season, I typically say the months stretching from the end of September to halfway through January qualify as my favorite, simply because the weather is cooling, holidays are happening and in general, the mood is extremely festive. I could go on and on about my favorite things during this time of year, but as most of these months end up being in the season of fall, if I had to pick one season as my favorite, that would be it. During this time of year, there are so many things to celebrate and cozy ways to bring the season into your home. As you are preparing your home décor for fall, I hope that each of these fall décor finds help to inspire an environment for many wonderful and cozy moments with those you love for the months to come.

Fall Décor: Seasonal Kitchen & Dining Finds

Evident through our cooking through Magnolia Table in a year journey (check it out HERE!), much of my life revolves around our kitchen and dining room. As our kitchen opens into the dining room and flows easily into our living room, this area is the primary hub of the home. Seeing this, it is also one of my favorite places to integrate seasonal décor! Whether you are wanting to create a festive mood through colors, textures, patterns or symbols –  each of these pieces below provide the coziness of fall. Seasonal interest can come as much through colors and textures as it can through symbols (i.e. pumpkins and leaves), so a subtle approach to fall can still provide your environment with the warmth and coziness that you are looking for.

Similarly, while the pieces shown range in investment, most are items that also can be used for multiple seasons. While I do love strictly fall décor, I personally do not have the storage space to accommodate specific decorations for each season. Typically, when looking at my own seasonal décor, I strive to integrate pieces that could be used for a minimum of two seasons OR that are very small items that don’t take up much room. That being said, each of these finds (perhaps minus the pumpkin serving boards) could be taken in a different design direction for the remaining three seasons, making them cozy and seasonal for fall, but also extremely versatile.

Fall Décor: Seasonal Living Room Finds

In the same vein as the kitchen and dining room décor, these seasonal living room finds provide the warmth of autumn while still being versatile enough to be used all year round. The pillows and foliage in particular provide layers of texture and pattern within the color tones of fall. Each year, I find that I am particularly drawn to pillows and foliage or fresh harvest items (i.e. pumpkins, greenery, squashes etc) to add my seasonal interest. Fresh items in particular are wonderful in that once they are past their prime, I simply toss them out and do not have to store them! While the investment does not carry through to the next year, it does allow for seasonal interest without continual storage.

Final Thoughts

While my mind frequently jumps to pumpkins and chunky sweater blankets for fall décor, there are so many ways to integrate the warmth of the fall season. Adding seasonal interest does not have to come in a way that you need tons and tons of storage or by sticking to a certain combination of items. This fall, I challenge you to find a new way to incorporate the season, whether that is through fresh produce, new colors, textures or statement pieces. But until then, what are your favorite ways to integrate fall décor?! I would love to know in the comment section below!

Happy decorating!
